Epad Zenithink ZT-180, le Meilleur Clone du iPad sous Android 2.1 (update)

Update: The Zenithink ZT-180 has landed on the Chinese market and has found a name and logo more attractive for the occasion. Becoming Zenithink ePad with the “e” logo from Internet Explorer (see photo gallery), it will be soon available for a price of about 1300 rmb or about $220.

The purpose was already established, create the best clone iPad within two months after its release. And it’s done, here is the Zenithink ZT-180 clone of all superlatives based on the open source operating system Android 2.1 and an ARM Cortex A8 1Ghz!

Buy Zenithink ZT-180 (ePAD) on sale at 164,90 €

Nothing wrong with the design, it looks exactly like the iPad. But, it has a mini USB and USB OTG host in addition to the audio output jack and power input at the bottom of the tablet PC. On one of the two sides, according to the tester, there are speakers which are extremely powerful and on the opposite side, we perceive two buttons to increase or decrease the volume, a micro SD port and even a mini ethernet port (RJ45 !) Of course you will not be entitled to get the apple logo to differentiate yourself a bit from Apple. This clone Zenithink is still a bit thicker than the iPad with 17mm.

It has a touch screen of 10 inches with a resolution of 1024 x 600, it’s pity that it is only resistive. Additionally, the Tablet PC is capable of playing HD video in 720p and 1080p without worries and it is the same for the interface fluidity which is excellent thanks to its 1 GHz processor and even from a file stored on a USB key. In addition to WiFi, it has a GPS module that incorporates Google Maps for navigation. We do not yet know all features or the sale price of this Zenithink ZT-180, but we know that the battery life lasts 7 hours and 5 hours with WiFi on.
