Aigo N700, le Tablet Pc Aigopad officiellement dévoilé (Photos)

Update: It’s been several months that we’ve waited to see the Prenium tablet from Aigo. So here is the Aigopad N700, which design is totally different from the prototype presented previously. Aigo has provided a look and an identity  to its tablet PC that can be easily differenciate from the iPad and remains elegant at the same time.

We learn that the pad is running Android 2.1 with an overlay created by Aigo called Freedom River UI. Its 7-inch screen adopts multitouch technology it has 512 MB of RAM, an internal 3G module and weighs only 380g.

We hope that it will keep the specifications of the prototype and the dual-core Tegra 2 plateform at 1GHz. It is quite expensive since it will be available next month at about 330 euros or 445$.

The Aigopad of Aigo which I submitted yesterday has now a name. Indeed, the biggest model of the range is called N700 which referred to the size of its 7-inch screen.

Presumably the other two models 5-inch and 4-inch will be logically called Aigo N500, and N400.

Here are all the specifications of the Aigo N700:

  • Touch screen multi-touch capacitive 7-inch 16 million colors, 800×480

  • Dock / Docking Station: Power, 1 x HDMI, 1 x Audio Jack, 1 x USB.
  • Operating system Android 2.1
  • Others: 1080P video playback and output, buzzer

More details, it supports Flash 10.1, can read eBook and color magazine online, access to Kaixin, and play QQ games etc. … The Aigo N700 Reads MS Office files, Push Email, Streaming Video, Docking Station, Plug-n-play etc…

Specifications are better than its main competitor the iPad, except the lower resolution due to a smaller screen. However It has lower weight, a USB plug and it supports Flash.

The number one iPad-Killer seems to be Aigo N700, but the price has not been disclosed … grrrrr !

UPDATE: Here is a video of the Tablet PC or MID branded under Taiwanese Compal, according to the video it will have a 16 hours of HD playback, and price contain under $300.

Update : After few month of silence, zol journalist has just receive some picture of the Aigo N700 interface. Seems like they really work on this overlay and it looks awesome.
