Aigo, a leading Chinese manufacturer of electronic, has set up a new USB standard called USB Plus. The Aigo USB Plus is faster than USB 3.0, with a maximum speed of 6 Gb/s against 4.8 Gbit/s. The USB Plus is also compatible with USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and also eSATA. This means that almost every device can read data via a USB Plus product. In addition Aigo also reveal a sketch of his future USB Plus key, with a particularly pleasant design.
Aigo and Chinese industry begin to innovate, and even try to impose their standard in the technology sector, but it still requires to convince in order to impose this new standard which does not bring significant improvement compared to USB 3.0.
Update : Aigo is taking legal patent actions against HP and Toshiba about this USB Technology.
